KiTEC has a unique strategic link with the Clinical Engineering Team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK. The trust has 26,000 staff and an annual turnover of £2.2 billion. Our team comprises Clinical Engineers based at GSTNFT who can evaluate the impact of a new technology within real world settings and its impacts on all relevant stakeholders, to help unlock its benefits to the NHS.

By stepping a new technology through the medical equipment life cycle, we can help highlight the real world value of medtech and biotech innovations, through tangible and measurable benefits to the NHS in the form of real world evidence. We help manufacturers and innovators envision their technology in the NHS ecosystem to powerfully complement health economic modelling, and in turn help policy makers understand the system benefits associated with placing the technology optimally within it. Our modelling work illustrates where a new technology could be best positioned so that it delivers the greatest system benefits cost-effectively.
