KiTEC is part of the London Institute of Healthcare Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences at King’s College London. We bring together leading academics within medicine, engineering and medical physics, along with clinical opinion leaders and HTA experts to support innovators with their clinical implementation plans from the earliest stage in the development of their technology, often while the prototype is being developed and during proof concept. Our unique track record of academic excellence and extensive clinical network within GSTT, one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, makes us the ideal partner.

KiTEC has been in its current form for almost a decade. As an External Evaluation Centre we work in partnership with the NICE Medical Technology Assessment Committee. Recently, we have also been commissioned to provide independent Health Economic and Outcomes Research facilitation for AAC/NIHR AI-Award winners.

We also generate evidence for commercial clients who wish to bring their technologies to NICE and the NHS and support innovators to develop their medical technologies in line with HTA principles. Our bespoke consultancy service proactively anticipates and prepares innovators for clinical implementation. This includes:
