DG13 Detecting, managing and monitoring haemostasis: viscoelastometric point‑of‑care testing (ROTEM, TEG and Sonoclot systems)

This project evaluated 3 viscoelastometric point‑of‑care testing devices (ROTEM, TEG and Sonoclot systems) which are used for monitoring haemostasis in cardiac surgery, trauma and post-partum haemorrhage patients. KiTEC's review showed that the ROTEM and TEG devices could potentially be recommended for use in other types of surgery, notably liver transplants.
