MTG196 Geko

The geko device (FirstKind Ltd) is a battery powered, disposable neuromuscular electrostimulation device that is designed to increase venous blood flow, with the aim of reducing the risk of venous thromboembolism.

The report concluded that the geko device can be used for people in whom it is not possible to use other methods of preventing blood clots.
